Jake sometimes feels just a little bit scared, but his big sister Amber isn't scared of anything.
...Or is she?
My self-published children's picture book I'm A Little Bit Scared Of... is available to purchase here. The book explores some of the fears that children commonly experience during childhood, in a light-hearted and playful manner - it features a simple storyline, with lively and colourful collage-style illustrations which bring the story to life.
The story was written to be suitable for children aged 4 to 8 years old, although the illustrations would appeal to children, or grown-ups, of any age - especially those interested in art or illustration.

"It's a simple little book which has been printed to a high quality and is illustrated using collage and mixed-media techniques. Although the theme of facing your fears works for all ages, the great appeal of this book is Madi's unique style and design. It'd make a good gift for a child who's interested in art too." - Caroline, The Green Door Bookshop.
"This storybook is super cute. I love the fun cut-and-paste style illustrations, the colours, and the way the words are whimsically arranged on the pages. The creative creatures are also pretty cute, and sure to make children of all ages smile (even if they are meant to be scary). It's a perfect addition to my fairy tale library, right next to The Gruffalo." - Customer review.
"The book centres around things that children may find frightening, just as little Jake does, and is a good way to introduce your children to the idea of admitting their fears. The book is beautifully written and illustrated, without becoming too "grown-up" in the mean time. Both my little cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'd recommend it for children between 5-10 years old, depending on their reading ability." - Customer review.
