Amelia's Magazine | Graduate Fashion Week 2011.

These are a couple of illustrations I did for Amelia's Magazine, which have been included in a review of the Womenswear Print at the Graduate Fashion Week Gala Awards by Amelia Gregory.

The above illustration is a dress from Meg Cornwell's collection which, as Amelia Gregory explains, was 'based on racing car engineering, with the prints inspired by car headlights'. The colours in the dress are gorgeous; a mixture of steel, maroon and pale blue; and the intricate pattern of the fabric means that the dress was lovely to illustrate.

This illustration is a colourful outfit by Melissa Owen, who won the Womenswear Award. Her work combines 'stunning Japanese style prints with gingham and florals', and the colours and patterns in her work were lovely to recreate in this illo.

News.

I recently completed an illustration for the super Flamingo Magazine (you will see it sometime in the near future), and today they were lovely enough to publish an interview about me and my work on their website. Yay!

So, if you're interested in finding out why I'd like to be invisible, or you'd like to see a very quick illo of my favourite thing in the whole world ever, then check it the feature here.

I'd also like to tell you all about the little shop I have now opened on Society6. There is now a wider range of fine art prints available (more than are currently available to buy in my Etsy shop) and, even better than that, it is now possible to have my illustrations printed on a range of different products including laptop, ipad, iphone and ipod skins, t-shirts and hoodies. How ace is that?! If you're interested, then it's definitely worth having a peek at my shop. Also, if there's a particular illustration you'd like to have printed on a particular product and it's not currently available in my shop, then please contact me and i'll see what I can for you. :]

One last little thing! There's still a while left to rate my t-shirt design on All Tropical, so please please do if you get the chance. Thank you lovelies. xx

Imaginary Rabbits.

I met her in the park one sunny afternoon. She jumped out from behind the tree I was sitting under with a frantic look on her face.

”Did you see him?” she asked.

”See who?” I replied, slightly startled.

Before she could reply, a squirrel scampered down the tree and darted off across the grass. A grin spread across her face as she dashed after him. I watched them until they disappeared into the distance.

This was my submission for Imaginary Rabbits.

Illustration Friday: Shadows.

Admittedly, this is an illustration I created a while ago, but it just seemed like a perfect response to this week's topic.

The illo is a double page spread taken from my children's book I'm A Little Bit Scared Of...
